Converting Your Desktop into a Digital Bulletin Board
By Jonas Höglund
I want to share this writeup by Caitlin Cahill with you all. It’s very cool and a great idea on how to extend the use of Stixy.
Caitlin, thank you for sharing this with us!

The idea is cool, but every time I’ve used active desktop it has been very disappointing. If there is another way to embed the page into a desktop it wold be killer.

This makes me wonder if bloggers could use stixy as a visitor collaboration/forum tool.
I’m reaching here… but the idea would be for a blogger to offer stixy on his blog for readers to add their comments and digital stuff relevant to a post or the blog itself.
So, if you wrote a blog, say, about “7 Dinners for the Week”, readers could post on stixy pics, comments, etc. about their favorite dinners.
Hmmm… may not be quite explaining this right (perhaps cause I don’t know what I’m talking about), but let’s just say:
Any thoughts about how stixy could be used by bloggers to develop community interaction among readers?
Thanks for any insights.
